Content Introduction:
This book introduces treatment of diseases by scraping ( gua sha ) comprehensively, systematically and objectively, merging the theory of channels and collaterals of traditional Chinese medicine with the basic theories of Western medicine and bio-holographic theories, developing holographic scraping treatment for diseases by scraping the key places of functional activities on the surface of the patientxxs body and holographic acupoints on the bodyxxs surface corresponding to internal organs to achieve more obvious curative effects. The book also introduces scraping treatment for diseases identified by Western medicine, the dialectical treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and hygienic methods.
About the Authors:
ZHANG XIUQIN was born in January 1947. Graduated from the Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has served as professor of the Huatuo Institute of the Academy of Traditional Chinese medicine, leader of the Specialist Group of the Scraping ( gua sha ) therapy Training Base of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and vice-president and executive director of the Section for Elimination of Toxins by Scraping therapy of the China Senior Citizens' Health Protection Research Society. She has concentrated, in recent years, on clinical teaching and research into treatment of diseases by scraping therapy. Prof. Zhang developed the holographic meridian scrapping therapy based on folk scraping therapy. She has also ,together with Prof. Hao wanshan,complied the book HOLOGRAPHIC MERIDIAN SCRAPING THERAPY,which is widely recognized as the most up-to-date treatise in this field.In October 1996 and November 1997 Prof. Zhang introduced her research achievements to the 31st International Military Medicine Conference and the academic conference in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the World Federation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Societies, respectively,making holographic scraping therapy known to the world.
HAO WANSHAN was born in november 1944. He graduated from the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the Beijing Univercity of Traditional Chinese Medicine.He has served as a professor at the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, vice-president of the Boundary Science Specialities Committee of the Senior Chinese Professors' Association. executive director of the China Mucical therapy Association and director of the China Famous Doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Association. He is chief editor of many traditional Chinese medical books,including A TREATISE ON FEBRILE DISEASES and A COURSE IN FOOT MASSAGE METHODS. He has had over 40 these on traditional Chinese medicine published.
